(More customer reviews)This went into a new Satellite L355-S7817 that shipped with a crippled "partial" battery to keep the price down. I've managed to get rid of that Vista garbage and get XP Pro installed with all the important Toshiba utilities. (Thanks to the Toshiba-Asia web site).
In combination with moderate power management policy and this full-capacity battery and the screen brightness turned down (still a very crisp 17" display) I'm getting close to 3 hours of use. Best I've ever had on a laptop and I'm very pleased. This while also powering wireless, a USB trackball, and 2.5" external WD Passport USB HDD.
