(More customer reviews)I bought this power cord for my Dell Vostro 1700. This cord is not OEM equipment, however it works perfectly fine and I have had no problems in the two weeks since I started using it.
Where the cord plugs into the computer feels a little looser than my previous cord, however I have had no problems with the cord coming loose.
What I don't like is that the power cord is a three prong instead of a two-prong, which means that I will have to get a two-prong adapter for when I go to Japan. (Outlets and electricity are similar to the US, but they don't have the same type of three prong outlets.)
The other issue I have is how the cord between the adapter and the computer is rather short. This means that, depending on your desk set up the adapter can end up hanging in mid air. The cord between the plug in and adapter is longer than my previous cord, so sometimes it is easier to have the adapter on the desk with the computer.
Overall it is a decent replacement for a piece of OEM equipment that I couldn't even find a complete replacement for on Dell's website.
