(More customer reviews)This was a replacement HDD for the original that was used in my HP laptop. I felt that the original had failed too soon after purchase (30 months), which is the reason for the low rating. I also felt that it was too hard to find a repalcement unit for something that was used in production a relatively short time ago and is the most likely component to fail in a laptop. Queries to Toshiba about possible replacement drives with identical form factor were unanswered.
So far, this drive has performed very well, but I should not have had to replace it as soon as I did and it should be more widely available as a replacement.
