(More customer reviews)Excellent and inexpensive repair for iPod Classics. this is THE drive used in iPod classics. The MK1231GAL is a CE based format (It won't work in laptops so don't try it). CE devices (MP3 players, media players, etc) use a different format structure than laptops or standard ATA/PATA/SATA based drives. It is unlikely to work in Zunes and iRivers, thought that's not been confirmed.
BE WARNED! This *MAY or MAY NOT* work on your Zune! Zunes have VERY little solid documentation available. Some Zunes will work with these drives, some won't. This may be because they're PATA or CE device, but they're not really clear.
