Windows 7 is great and this laptop performs well -- BUT its is poorly built! Right now the mouse buttons don't always work and the only solution Toshiba will offer is to send it back for repair which may take up to a month. A month?? Really??
It is a real shame because this is so close to being a great machine and a great buy. It is fast and light with good battery life. The speakers have poor sound quality, and the volume doesn't go very high.
All of the negative experiences could be overlooked if Toshiba's customer service was better. I should have learned from the Toshiba laptopwe bought for my daughter, but this Satellite seemed like a great buy. Never thought I'd say this, but I'm going back to Dell.
