(More customer reviews)This notebook was bought to replace another Toshiba that had Vista on it and we are so happy to be rid of that thing. This cost only $100 more than the old one (which was bought a year ago) and it's so, so much faster and usable. It came with XP on it and we have not enabled the Windows 7 and have no plans to do so.
Our third Toshiba laptop and definitely the best. Great screen, wide enough to put the task bar on the right and still watch an HD movie. Can browse the web and never have to "scroll right." Spreadsheets show way more columns too.
Very happy with our purchase.
